There is so much to see and do while on holiday in Ouray, and a lot of it is within a short walking distance from the China Clipper Inn. You might decide to take a lovely afternoon walk to one of Ouray's spectacular waterfalls: Box Canyon Falls or Cascade Falls. Or relax in one of the numerous Hot Spring facilities that Ouray has to offer. All shops and restaurants are at walking distance from the Inn. Enjoy a leisurely drive along the scenic San Juan Skyway (Million Dollar Highway- 550). Take a day trip to Silverton, Durango or the Black Canyon of Gunnison. Climbing, hiking and Jeeping are among the many activities Ouray has to offer! In wintertime there snowshoeing, back-country skiing, cross-country skiing or hit the slopes in Telluride, just a 55 minute drive away!

During warmer months explore mining trails, mountain passes and wildflower meadows in your four wheeled drive vehicle , or a let a jeep tour provide you with a spectacular back-country mountain trip. Hiking, biking, and horseback riding take you along trails which afford views of waterfalls, cliffs and mountain peaks.
